May 2025 was a busy month at CECC. We started off with a retreat from our youth group Junction coinciding with our Annual General Meeting. And also some updates from our Pastors. Please read on.
Earlier this month, Junction Fellowship held its 2025 retreat at Willow Springs Camp. The weekend brought together a mix of familiar faces and newcomers, creating a warm and lively atmosphere. The theme, “Proof that God is Real”, was led by Pastor Samuel Hong from Toronto Christian Community Church. Through his messages, the group was challenged to seek out opportunities to experience God, be in constant dependence on Him, and invite Him to transform our lives. Alongside times of worship and teaching, one of the most meaningful moments was a full-immersion baptism in the lake, where four youth publicly declared their faith. Thanks to our counsellors/coaches, pastors, volunteers, donors and parents for investing in our Youth. It’s great to see our Youth participating and growing in their faith.
We also had our Annual General Meeting where different ministries of our church reported on their respective areas. Please speak to any of our deacons if you missed the AGM and would like to know more in details.
May 11th was Mother’s Day where Rev. Dennis Campbell spoke about the “high calling of motherhood”. The recorded YouTube links are on the table below. Pastor Ian also created a fun slide of our CECC “moms”. You can also see this in the YouTube videos. By the way, May 11 was also Pastor Ian’s last official day as a Pastor at CECC. We will miss you Pastor Ian and your family. We pray that God will continue to bless you and your family as you serve in Stouffville. You’re always welcome to drop by CECC as a brother-in-Christ.
We have a new Doctor in CECC. Congrats Rev. Dr. Andrew – CECC! Our very own Pastor Andrew Bendicion graduated from the Doctor of Ministry (DMin) program from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Praise God for His faithfulness through Rev. Dr. Andrew’s journey. Thanks to Andrew’s family as well for their loving support and prayers.
Not only we have a new Doctor in CECC, we also introduced a new Pastor, Heusen Lam, focusing on Youth and Missions. Pastor Heusen started on May 25 and he brings with him a passion to engage our Youth in Junction Fellowship. Welcome to CECC Pastor Heusen and Rianne.
