Statement of Faith

Scripture

We believe that the Bible comprising the Old and New Testament, is fully inspired by the Spirit of God; that it is the only authoritative and infallible Word of God, in matters of Christian faith and practice.

Godhead – Trinity

We believe that there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons; that these three Persons are equal in every Divine Attribute and that they have distinct but harmonious offices in the work of Creation, Providence and Redemption.

God The Father

We believe in God the Father, an infinite, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love. We believe that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men, that He hears and answers prayers and that He saves from sin and eternal death all who come to Him through the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Lord Jesus Christ

We believe in the Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His teachings, His substitutionary death and atonement, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of God, and His perpetual intercession for the believers. We believe that He will come again to welcome the believers and to judge the world.

Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit who reproves the world of sin, by whose conviction the sinner is regenerated; by whose indwelling the Christian is sanctified and empowered to live a godly life.

Man

We believe that man was created by God in His own image and likeness; that by choice, he fell from innocence and holiness into sin, that by so doing, he incurred the wrath of God which resulted in physical and spiritual death. We believe that Adam’s entire posterity, excluding Christ, is born with an inherited, sinful nature and is, therefore, alienated from God. We believe that man is in a total depraved state thus requiring salvation from God for reconciliation.

Salvation

We believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins as a substitutionary sacrifice; that all who receive Him by faith as Lord and Savior are justified wholly on the ground of His shed blood and are born anew of the Holy Spirit into the family of God.

Church

We believe that the church is the body of Christ, comprised of all born-again Christians under His Headship, baptized on a credible profession of faith and associated for worship, learning, work and fellowship. We believe that God has laid upon the members of the local church the primary task of sharing the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to the lost.

Christian Life

We believe that through the ministry of the Holy Spirit, the grace of God is available and sufficient for all believers; that the life of the believer is to be separated from worldliness by consistent Christian conduct before God and man.

Eternal Destiny

We believe in the resurrection of the saved and the lost; of the eternal life of the saved and everlasting punishment of the lost.
