In our last update on the annual congregation meeting, we shared that the congregation’s safety and physical health is top of mind as we plan and make decisions for the meeting. For this reason, after careful thought, discussion and prayer, we have decided to postpone the meeting to Sunday November 15 at 2:00pm.
I want to thank everyone who registered for the October meeting. Based on the number of people who registered for in person attendance, we almost reached the minimum number required to hold the meeting.
We are asking everyone to register again so we know who is attending and can ensure that the meeting is conducted in a safe manner. If you are able to attend in person in November, please register here on our website. We are hoping that we can reach the minimum number so we can come together to make key decisions for our church.
At the same time, we know that people may have health concerns or family circumstances that prevent them from attending and we will continue to offer the ability to observe the meeting online. You can register to observe online on the website as well.
For those considering attending in person, we want to assure you that the safety protocols that were originally prepared for our October meeting will be used for our new November date. You can read more about those measures here on our website.
You have likely heard this frequently over the past several months but I think it bears repeating: these are unprecedented times and the situation is constantly changing. We thank everyone for their continued flexibility as we navigate this uncertain period together.
Please continue to pray for our church family, the important decisions that will be made at our congregation meeting and our broader community’s health and safety.
